Composting can be the answer to so many of the world's problems. Composting is an easy technology and with simple instruction and easily available materials and ingredients whole range of commonly waste materials can be composted to improve the health and welfare of soils and people.
The Chinese have been composting human waste for over 4,000 years and fertilising their land with it. What can be an appaling problem in some societies is turned into a valuable resource. Other countries have a more enlightened attitude than we have in the UK for composting, especially for food waste composting - for instance it is illegal to feed food waste from your kitchen to chickens in this country whereas in Flanders the local Authorities are happy to supply you with a couple of chickens to eat your food waste!
